Mental Fitness
February 16
- I started to spend less time playing my playstation 4, and now I'm helping my mom more around the house, at times I babysit my younger brothers while my mom is out attending errands instead of being on the video game.
February 17
- Since I've started spending less time on my video game console, now I'm focusing more on my work flow and working schedule for school (my education). I've also stopped going out as much and started to take the whole pandemic a bit more serious but also to get more focused on my assignments for school.
February 18
- I've been maintaining my assignments in check, but I do have some still left to finish up on. Now that I've decided to take my AP History class, it's double the work but that's because my history teacher gave me a list of assignments that are important for me to finish in order to stay caught up with my classmates, and also to better prepare for the AP exam.
February 19
- Today was a bit different during class, us students in OSLA program, had to get to know each other by finding out which interesting different facts given from ourselves, belonged to which student. It was fun, not only because of the game but also because we got to learn about each other a bit more. I personally didn't win but it was most likely because I didn't start writing names on a piece of paper and started putting their interesting facts, I regretted that towards the end because the winner was going to get a prize from amazon.
February 20
- Today I focused into completing some of my history class assignments, as well as helping my dad out in the garage, I ended up vacuuming and cleaning my dad's work car, it was filled with rocks and dirt but northing I couldn't clean. Now, that I haven't played video games as much, I feel like I could think clearer and much better, this benefits me in completing more work and also improves my mental fitness overall. Though, I still need to spend less time on my phone watching Netflix lol.
February 21
- I didn't really do much work today because I was mainly out with my family the whole day since it was my dad's day off. I got to spend some good quality time with family, this also gave me a chance to refresh my mind and clear it from anything that was bothering me. I haven't been able to play basketball anymore due to my team mates now working but on the bright side, now I'm more focused on school and more cautious to the virus going around.
February 22
- Today I actually tried to meditate for the first time, I wanted to give it a try because I've heard by many people including Dr.Preston, that meditating reduces stress and just makes you feel better in general. It's kind of a source of relief, if your ever in a tough situation, by mediating it can cause any anxiety to go away, yes it might seem boring at first and you might even ask yourself "What I'm I even doing", but trust me not only does meditating clear your mind but boosts your self esteem. My first experience went well I was able to clear my mind and the rest of the day I felt less stressed out which boosted my self esteem, this made me actually not get into arguments with my younger brothers.
February 23
- Today I tried to spend less time on my phone in order to complete more of my assignments, I'm always used to having my phone on me, this time I told my brother to hide it from me and not to give it to me until I was finish with some assignments. I realized that by not using my phone as much, I feel more awake and able to complete and do many things, and for once it feels like time isn't going as fast and I'm getting things done.
February 24
- Today I went out to ride my bike around Sanchez's parking lot, as a distraction to better clear my mind. That feeling that you get when the sun hits you and the wind blows on your face just right, is an amazing feeling, taking deep breathes in and out without thinking about anything besides what you want your future to look like, clams your state of mind. This helps you make good choices in life by just also thinking of past decisions you aren't quite proud of making or choosing.
February 25
- I decided to meditate again today for my mental fitness, it's always a great way to start your day, which I'm deciding whether to start doing it daily or not.
May 14
- Today I decided to start meditating daily, I wake up and instead of grabbing my phone and checking on my social media, I open my window to let the breeze in, and then open my curtains to let some sunlight in my room. I sit on my bed, while listening to some relaxing instrumental music, and I meditate.
May 15
- Today morning, I did my daily meditation to start off my day, beginning by opening my curtains then my window to let some breeze and sunlight into my room. Continued by some relaxing instrumental music, and then closing my eyes while sitting down on my bed, removing any thoughts from my mind and just relaxing.
May 16
- Just like any other day, I started today's morning with my daily meditation.
May 17
- To start off my week and my Monday morning, I meditated just like any other day. Its been my 4th time meditating to start off my day, and I could really say its a great and beautiful way to begin one's day. You get to start off your day nice and relaxed without any worries about anything, which no one can complain about if you ask me.

- Today I started my day by meditating like always.

- Today for my Mental Fitness, I started my day by meditating.
May 20
- For today's mental fitness, I meditated in the morning to begin my day.
May 21
- To end today's week for my mental fitness, I meditated in the morning to start off my day.
May 22
- It's the weekend, specifically Saturday, and today's morning I meditated for my mental fitness.
May 23
- Today's Sunday, and for my mental fitness, it wasn't just the morning daily meditation, but I went out to go play basketball with my friends to the park. As I was running around playing basketball, I had no thoughts running around my head, I was just relaxed while hearing the basketball bouncing, and the birds chirping. I can use this experience as part of my mental fitness as well.
May 24
- To start off my week, I meditated in the morning for my Mental Fitness.
May 25
- Today for my Mental Fitness, I meditated in the morning then went to the kitchen to eat some breakfast.
